It's another blustery day today

Helloooo Family!!

I tried to read as fast as I could but it's already been half an hour! That's what happens when we can't check e-mail for three or four weeks huh! Well, I'll have to write fast too cuz we're at the place that costs like a buck every ten minutes... but maybe they'll give me a discount if I buy in bulk.. ;)

So, I am glad to hear everyone's doing well it seems. Mom is having a crazy school schedule and the car miles are on the rise but Mellie is recovering (does she wear a helmet or anything?) and Nathans chatting a storm. Good.

Life moves on here. You may not have gotten my letter I sent last week quite yet (it seems the mail was pretty backed up for all the 'new year letters' EVERYONE sends here in Japan. They blocked off one whole side of the post box (people don't have mailbox pickups here) just for it. Anyway, but we had transfers. Long story short, we're in a threesome now, me and two Nihonjins (Japanese)! They are both great, and we are starting to really have fun as week two rolls around and we've all adjusted with each other.

Oh, and I got the big Christmas card finally the other day! It is so cute, it was like Christmas all over for me too! :) And I have to say the calender made me extreemely trunky :) but I've determined to look at it only on P-Days ;) It was all very nice thank you so much. It maybe took a while cuz it had a tear in the side, but they taped a nice little note that my companions read to me and told me it basically said, sorry this got torn but we fixed it sorry. they taped it up. lol. Anyway, I loved William's little drawing and apple pie and plucking a chicken too.. that's his right/ lol.

So this week the wearther has been great except for yesterday it rained and we realized we only had two cappas (rain suits) so Harada shimai wore kind of a half-mix-match suit... but we made it to our appointement ok. We also had Zone Conference this week and there were 12 missionaries going home so we heard tons of good advice and talks from them. Hmmm good stuff.

Anyway, just a little miracle then I gotta go, but I am always surprised at how much it's always the people you never think will listen that actually do. On our way to our lesson this morning (I know it's P-Day but we still have 3 hours of dendo on P-day too) Sakuma shimai was leading and stopping people. It was really windy so everyone was just waving us off, but we came to my favorite little cannal area and there was a mom pushing her baby. She looked really steki (cool clothes, etc.) and I was like 'no way she'll stop and listen, it cold and windy and her baby will probably cry', but we tried anyway. And wouldn't you know it, she stopped and listened! She actually had gone to a Christian high school and college and still occasionally goes to a closeby church. We talked a little more and ended up giving her a BoM, getting her phone number, and she says she wants to come check out church on Sunday. The wind was still blowing like crazy while we were talking, but I am just glad for kind people. And you never even know who they are, who is searching. It's always those you don't expect! Good thing missionary work is made up of just that--work! A little of everything, physical work, mental work, and spiritual work, and a lot of just opening your mouth and praying the Lord will fill it with what you need to say :)

Thank you for all of your love and support and let me know if there's anything I can do for you!

I'm so glad I'm a missionary! :)

Love you all lots,

LeFevre shimai
